What is the Scorpion X Immobiliser?

The Scorpion X-Series is an invisible, undetectable CAN Bus immobiliser from Scorpion Automotive a British security manufacturer with over 50 years in the industry (est. 1974). It arms and disarms using a custom sequence of buttons and switches already built into your car, so there’s no separate fob, no LED, and nothing for a thief to find or clone.

How it defends against key relay attacks

Modern keyless cars are most commonly stolen using relay attacks, where a thief amplifies your key’s signal from outside your home to trick the car into thinking the key is present. The Scorpion X counters this with an intelligent delay mechanism that disrupts the relay signal window, meaning the car won’t start even if the relay attack succeeds in “seeing” your key.

How you use it day to day

Once fitted, the Scorpion X arms itself automatically whenever you turn the ignition off — you don’t need to remember to activate it.
